  7.    Fortune Cookie Programs currently seem to be all the rage.  you can get
  8.  ones which tell you rude jokes, or display obscure quotes from science
  9.  fiction films, when you boot up.  These can be amusing for a time, but
  10.  often the supplied cookies aren't up to much, or the bad jokes start to
  11.  grate.

  13.    This is where my program comes in handy.  If you haven't yet guessed, it
  14.  is yet another program to pop up an interesting message in a requester,
  15.  while you wait for Workbench to load.  However, this is different.
  16.    A Thought For The Day consists of a single executable file.  No data
  17.  files of amusing puns are required.  Instead it acts as a virtual fortune
  18.  teller, using a highly complex algorythm to generate a whole new thought
  19.  every time you run it!  (And each one has a highly deep and spiritual
  20.  inner meaning.)

  22.    Requirements

  24.    As far as I know, it requires Workbench 2, about 100K of memory, and the
  25.  command 'RequestChoice' installed in your C: directory.
  26.    This command is part of the Workbench 3 package, but works file on KS2
  27.  machines.  As far as I know, it has been in the C: directory of most of the
  28.  AMIGA Format CD-Roms, so you can copy it from one of those (if you don't have
  29.  Kickstart 3.0+)

  31.    Installation

  33.    Simply copy the Thought program, and it's icon into your WBStartup
  34.  drawer, and reboot.
  35.    If you do not have Kickstart 3, then open a shell and type:
  36.  'Copy CD0:C/Requestfile To Sys:C/' (without the quotes)
  37.  If the message 'Can't open CD0:C/Requestfile for input....' appears then
  38.  try a different CD-Rom.
